The East Devon Evening 10-Mile Time Trial series is organised by four local clubs on a shared basis – Exeter Wheelers, CS Dynamo, Cranbrook CC and Sid Valley CC. Thanks go to all the various helpers and volunteer officials from these clubs who invest their time and energy in making this happen. As with all cycling events, any offers to help, especially with marshalling, will be much appreciated by all – get in touch via our ‘info’ email address at the bottom left of any of our web pages.
The first evening ten for 2025 will take place on the 7th of May, and will be organised by Cycle Sport Dynamo of Exmouth.
The 2025 series will also see the same process as usual for results – they will be posted on this page generally later the same evening as the event. There will again be end-of-season prizes for age & gender categories – these will be handed out following the final ‘ten’ on the Honiton course, on the 16th of July, at The Otter Inn (EX14 3NZ) near the course start.
2024 final league standings are here and end-of-season prize winners are here.

As with all events conducted under national Cycling Time Trials rules, hard shell helmets plus front & rear lights are compulsory. Please also note that Time Trials are conducted on open roads, and as such you must obey the Highway Code when riding. Whilst there will be marshalls at the ‘turns’ they are not empowered to stop or direct traffic; riders are responsible for their own safety. Please note that in particular that there will now be no marshall at the T-Junction (A30 slip road approach Fenny Bridges) so make sure you give way to traffic coming from the right at this junction. The decision to remove a marshall at this point has been arrived at because riders were occasionally misinterpreting the marshall’s signals here and proceeding when it was not safe to do so.
HQ: Max’s Cabin café car park Honiton (Near Aldi’s). To get to the start (approx 0.6 miles from HQ) riders should turn left out of the car park, proceed uphill past the garage to the roundabout where turn right. Then turn left into Heathpark Industrial Estate, past Lidl’s, up to the T junction. Turn right and at the end of the road turn right again downhill. Go over the dual carriage way bridge and turn right to the start.
Start: On the old A30 just before the bridge over the dual carriageway outside Honiton, approx. 150 metres from the large lay-by on the right hand side of the old A30.
Course: Proceed up the old A30 towards Fenny Bridges until the T-junction (1.5 miles), turn right to go under the road and railway bridges, proceed through Fenny Bridges and past Patterson’s Cross, to turn left (3.5 miles) onto the road towards Fairmile and then turn immediately right around the green triangle retracing back through Fenny Bridges towards the start. Turn left again in layby (6.8 miles) shortly before the start line to retrace back through Fenny Bridges.
Finish: Small layby on the left after Paterson’s Cross, approx 50 metres past green triangle on Fairmile road. If you can remember to shout your race number to the timekeeper as you pass him or her that would be appreciated.
